ECOA — Experience and Environmental Connection is an inbound ecotourism agency in the Capixaba Mountains, in the state of Espírito Santo.

To create experiences that stay with you, connecting you to the essence of the Capixaba Mountains and offering moments of deep connection with nature and local culture.
How we work
Our experiences draw on many kinds of knowledge: sensory, scientific, agricultural, environmental and ancestral. We are especially drawn to a sensory approach to nature — it lets us connect with our surroundings through the senses.

Your guide
ECOA is led by Paul Jamilloux, a French guide based in the Capixaba Mountains, environmental educator and birdwatcher.
Our commitments
Tourism that stays local
- Small local producers — Experiences built with the people who farm and make things in the mountains.
- Low-impact travel — Journeys planned to weigh as little as possible on the place.
- Local products — Coffee, socol (a local cured pork), cheeses and regional flavours in every experience.
- Support for reforestation — We grow native seedlings in our own nursery.
